Photocopy of typescript of domestic diary of Elizabeth Slade Wiggins, the mistress of "Woodlawn" in Halifax County, N.C. Most entries concern household tasks performed and visits paid and received. The author occasionally commented on developments in the Civil War and on her sons' activities at the University of North Carolina where they were students. Includes a page of genealogical information about the Wiggins family and a few brief entries (also photocopied typescripts) from Thomas Slade's diary.
